Meet Mrs. Bordelon

Grand Tetons, WY
I am an Art teacher, student, and cat-lover from Byron, MN.  I am here to tell you a bit about myself and the subjects I teach, as well as share with you the projects my students are creating!  I love learning and teaching new ideas to my students, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know!!

The things I love most in life are my family & friends, Art, traveling, camping and hiking.  I have been traveling to Wyoming each summer for four years and I absolutely love it!

The picture above is me in front of the the Grand Teton Mountain range.  The photos to the left are my husband Brandon and I with our friends Melissa, Amanda and Paul - the first one is at Glacier National Park in Montana, and the second one is on Bomber Mountain in Wyoming.

On week days, you'll usually find me with my students - with paint, clay, glaze, oil pastels (you name it!) on my hands!  I am the visual arts teacher at the Byron Middle School and I teach fifth through eighth grade students.  On the weekends I like to spend time with my family (including our three cats!), travel up to the North Shore and clean the house (okay, so I may not like to do the last one, but it's a must!).

I graduated from Winona State University in May of 2008 and began substitute teaching that fall.  I began teaching in the Byron school district (my Alma Mater) in the fall of 2012.  I received my Master's in Teaching and Learning through Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in May of 2015.
